At its core, the model divides the company’s lifecycle into three phases: Concept, Development and Commercial. Each phase is built upon three main activities: technical, marketing, and business (or finance).

As entrepreneurs progress through the model, they create, compile and assess their venture's probability to succeed and attract private equity capital. Once they have completed a technical feasibility study, market assessment and understand the economic viability of the concern, they are ready to create a business plan.

Stage 1

Stage 1 focuses primarily on the creation of a competitive business plan, integrated financials, and an elevator pitch.

Stage 2

Stage 2 focuses on company valuation, investor pitch, and adding companies to the Kentucky Capital Network where qualified investors look at KY Innovation Network client opportunities.
